1.Real name, occupation, married status, age, kids, ect. Whatever you feel you want to share? My name's Kevin, I'm 22 years old and I live in Belgium. I'm storekeeper for a living. I'm playing Kingpin since the beginning. 2.Do you have any other hobbies besides computer gaming? I like internet, for downloading, chatting, surfing, etc... it has great possibilities I also like listening to music, especially metal, and watching movies In the good months of the year you can find me on the basketball court 3.What other games do you enjoy? I really like Half-Life 2, especially Counter-Strike Source And I'm still a big fan of Half-Life and its mods. I play Natural Selection, Firearms, Day Of Defeat and Counter-Strike. 4.What got you involved in playing kingpin? When was it? I just had my first pentium and internet. A schoolmate installed Kingpin on it and I was immediately crazy of it. Some days later I tried it multiplayer on heat, just to see how it looked like. The only FPS I had played so far were the Q3 and UT demos. I still remember the moment I entered my first game, man I was excited! I had discovered The perfect game for me. I even didn't finish the single player, which I still wanna do one day ;o) 5.What do you enjoy about the game better than anything else? So many things... Especially the atmosphere, the darkness, devastated environments, the skies The weapons and sounds are also very well done, same goes for the models The game was just the most impressive thing at that time And off course the gameplay, especially bagman, which I only discovered a couple of months later :o) 6.What does Kingpin have that makes it endure? The atmosphere, you feel like walking on empty and dangerous streets, where the danger can come from everywhere. And for me bagman is the best gametype ever invented in a game, it's the CTF of Kingpin, but than with a gameplay which is much better and original. 7.Do you make maps? No and I never tried it, but I collect them ;o) I got 2085 of 'em at the moment, many of them are from the mods of the GT clan, that's also why it's such a big amount In the past it was like some of them did mapping for a living :o) 8.Do you enjoy any special mod better than others? I got some favourite ones, crash, assault and hitmen. Crash's my favourite because it gives new objectives and the weapon arsenal is nice. It gives another atmosphere to the game 9.Tell us about your computer and connection; is there anything special about your rig? I have an AMD Athlon 64+ 3400, a G-Force FX 5600, I got cable and a 5,54 GB Kingpin dir :o) 10.Tell us about your involvement in your clan. . . I was one of the ex-YLD members from Inc. Inc was the elite of YLD, which had become a too big unorganized bunch Inc was founded by the same leaders as YLD. In clanfights I was mostly an allrounder, it depended on the situation. 11.Do the members of your clan get together often or regularly to play? Inc moved to SOF2 in the past, then they made a Q3 and RTCW ET division from good players of those games They kick serious ass in all those games but their SOF2 division is quite lonely these days but only 2 of them still play it Sometimes you can see another Inc popping up in a server for some fun, but most of 'em don't play it anymore 12.You picked out these particular maps; are there any connection between them? What I mean is, what interests you about a certain map? Style, textures, layout? I chose mostly urban maps, because that's the real style of Kingpin. Many of them have the right feeling. It's fun to play quake-alike maps too but IMO the real deal are still the normal maps, and maps which can be related to that style 13.What is your weapon of choice, and why? The HMG is my beauty, because it's a controlled weapon which is very usefull in the right hands and it's very powerful. When you got the cooler it's almost unstoppable 14.How do you feel about cheating and hacking? I think while cheating you spoil the fun of all the players, including yourself. You don't enjoy playing Kingpin while you're messing around with the gameplay doesn't it? 15.Who is the best player that you ever faced? I have faced so many great players during my 5 and a half year playing. The player that amazed me most was [RW]MaYaN, the leader of RW, one of the best and most famous clans ever. At the time I was still YLD, they dominated us and none of us could match with him. But when we met them again with Inc the roles were changed ;o) 16.What player taught you the most about the game? (Inc)Ra-kot, one of our 3 leaders, actually the main organizer. He combined skill and strategy to our clanfights. I started to use more strategy, and stronger teamplay during our fights. 17.If you could build the perfect map, what would it entail? It would be a combination of all 5 kpdm's, with the possibilily for a bagman version. But all mixed up, not just copies of the maps, but some parts and components of it. Otherwise it would be a hell of a big map :o) 18.When is the best time to find you on the servers? If I'm a the streets in the week mostly between 8 and 11 GMT+1 In the Weekend also merely in the evening 19.What is your favorite strategy tip for playing and winning at Kingpin? Play for fun, don't try to be the best. When you enjoy playing and learning to use the weapons you get more experience than someone who wants to show off 20.How do you want players to think of you when they log on? Heh dunno, but I know people who say I'm a funny guy :o) And many know I got the real Kingpin spirit ;o)
